Terms of Service

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Welcome

Thanks for stopping by. These terms cover your use of douroportland.com and anything you book or buy through it, including reservations, gift cards and private events. The site is operated by Douro, part of Prentice Hospitality Group (“Douro,” “we,” “us”).

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these terms.

Using the site

You may use the site for personal, noncommercial purposes. Please don’t:

  • Use it for anything unlawful or fraudulent

  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or our systems

  • Interfere with how the site works, including through bots, scrapers or malicious code

  • Make reservations in someone else’s name without permission, or hold tables you don’t intend to use

  • Resell reservations or gift cards

We may suspend or limit access to the site, or cancel reservations, if we believe these terms have been broken.

Reservations

Reservations made through the site are handled by SevenRooms, and that platform’s own terms also apply to your booking.

  • Changes and cancellations: Please cancel or change your reservation at least 24 hours ahead. For special events and experiences, such as wine dinners, we ask for at least 72 hours’ notice.

  • Late arrivals: We hold tables for 10 minutes. After that we may need to release the table.

  • No shows: A fee of $25 per person may be charged for reservations that don’t show.

Walk ins are always welcome, subject to availability.

Private dining and events

Private dining and event bookings are confirmed only once a signed event agreement and any required deposit are received. The terms of that agreement, including minimums, deposits, final guest counts, cancellation and service charges, apply to your event and take priority over these general terms where they differ.

Inquiry forms submitted through the site are requests, not confirmed bookings. Our events team will follow up at sales@prenticehospitality.com.

Gift cards

Gift cards are sold through Toast and can be used at every Prentice Hospitality Group restaurant: Douro, Twelve, Evo Kitchen + Bar, The Good Table and the Chebeague Island Inn Restaurant.

  • Gift cards do not expire and carry no fees.

  • Please treat them like cash.

  • They can’t be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

  • Gift cards can be used toward gratuity, but not toward private event deposits.

  • Promotional or bonus cards may carry their own terms and expiration dates, which will be printed on the card or offer.

Menus, prices and allergies

Our menus follow the season and what the boats bring in, so the menus and prices on the site are a guide, not a guarantee. What’s printed in the restaurant on the day is what applies. If we spot an error in a price on the site, we’ll honor the correct price.

Allergies: Please tell your server about any allergies or dietary needs. Our kitchen handles shellfish, fish, nuts, gluten, dairy and other allergens, so we can’t guarantee any dish is completely free of them.

Raw and undercooked food: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

Alcohol: You must be 21 or older to order alcohol, and we may ask for valid ID. We reserve the right to stop serving any guest, in line with Maine law.

Our content and other sites

Our content: The Douro name, logo, tile motif, photography, menus, copy and design on the site belong to Douro or Prentice Hospitality Group, or are used with permission. You’re welcome to share links and screenshots for personal use, but please don’t copy, reuse or sell them commercially without our written permission.

Other sites: The site links to services we don’t run, such as our reservation and gift card platforms, maps and social media. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms apply.

Disclaimers and liability

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but it is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the site, including that it will be error free, uninterrupted or free of viruses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Douro and Prentice Hospitality Group, and their owners, employees and partners, are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the amount you paid us through the site in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Douro and Prentice Hospitality Group harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can’t be limited under applicable law.

The fine print

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cumberland County, Maine.

Changes: We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the changes.

If part doesn’t hold up: If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
